All JaGEx rules apply to this site without exceptions when in relation to game content.

No Spamming
This includes posting worthless and/or off-topic comments. Breaking of any of these following rules may warrent an official warning:
- One-word posts or posts with very little valid content.
- Posting directly after another one of your posts. This includes posting topics in the same, or different forums. Repeat offenders will be warned.
- Posting large or repeated images. This includes smilies spam. Please link large images directly to the source.
- Thread Highjacking and off-topic posts. Please respect others posts. Do not try to redirect the subject of the original topic in any way. We're more lenient on off-topic conversations due to the nature of communicating, but thread hi-jacking is not acceptable and offenders will be warned.
- Posting a locked topic again. There was a reason that that topic was locked by a moderator. Offenders will be warned. Repeat offenders may be given a timed ban.

Verbal abuse and swearing
Verbal abuse, flaming and swearing from anyone will NOT be tolerated. This includes racism, sexism and ageism. Offenders may be given an unnoficial warning but we hold it in our permissions to give up to 3 warnings for large amounts of flaming and swearing. Filter evasion will warrant an automatic warning. Repeat offenders may find their account terminated.

Illegal and Illicit Content
By no means is any illegal or illicit content allowed on or forums. Breaking this rule may warrant up to 7 warnings. This includes:
- Posting Pornographic images.
- Posting images with obscene Graphic Violence. Posting an image of a mutilated corpse, for example, may warrant up to 7 warnings.
- Posting about illegal and illicit substances and substance abuse. Drugs references are not allowed.
- Any links to content mentioned above.

Objection to a moderators decision.
If you are caught complaining about a moderators discussion, you may be given a warning. Moderators are here to enforce all of the forementioned rules. If you believe that a Moderators decision is not just, then kindly Private Message the Moderator stating why you believe the actions were not needed. If you want to take it further, than Private Message an Administrator. The Administrator's decision is final.

Only Administrators may have multiple accounts, and these accounts are documented here:

Breaching of this rule will result iun the termination of the second account and 2 warnings issued to the original account of the offender. Banned users will find they will be given an IP ban.

Signature and Avatar limits.
Signatures
Signature images may not be over 400 pixels wide by 200 pixels high in total. Your signature may only contain 10 lines of text of normal size (Size 12) or 18 lines of text with a font size of 8 or lower if it contains no images. You may add an image to your signature providing you have 5 or less lines of text in your signature of font size 12 or 8 or less lines of text with a font size of 8 or less. You may have a signature with a file size of up to 40kb in total. Breaking of these terms may warrant you an unnoficial warning.
Avatars
An avatar may not consist of an image of more than 90 pixels high by 90 pixels wide. You may not have an avatar file size of over 10kb. Breaching this rule may warrant an unnoficial warning.

Order of Authority.
On MechSphere, the order of authority goes:
Site/Forum Admin: These people keep the site running smoothly and have total authority over what happens on the site.
Board Moderator: Board moderator moderate ALL public forums and some private forums. Board Mods have supreme moderator rights and can global topics in Mechsphere News and Announcements as well as all the actions that a Forum Moderator can.
Forum Moderator: Forum moderators Moderate certain forums and catergories. The forums that a Forum Moderator can moderate can vary. They can sticky, announce, ban and warn users in the forums they can moderate and can also report posts to moderators in forums that they cannot moderate.
Staff: Staff have access to some behind the scenes forums, relating to their job. Permissions that a Staff member can perform can vary but they can all report posts to moderators.
Normal users: Only normal users can post in public forums but they can also join usergroups to have access to extra, private, forums. Normal users do not have any moderating powers.
